I have been taking photographs since the mid-seventies. All the images reproduced here have been captured since 2005 when I first bought a Digital SLR (DSLR).

Since late August 2007, I have been based in West Yorkshire and many of my images have been made within an hour's travelling time of my current home or my previous home in Warrington.

Other images have been captured on travels in Europe and Australia.

Back in the 70s, I initially used Praktica cameras. I then switched to the Canon system, using a Canon AT1 together with a range of prime lenses.

In the 90's I took a 12 year break from serious photography although I continued to take family snap shots on holiday and at family celebrations.

In 1998 I switched to the Minolta system and used zoom lenses for the first time.

In early 2005, I bought my first DSLR. I opted for a Konica Minolta Dynax 7D enabling me to continue using my old Minolta A mount lenses.

Following the acquisition by Sony of Minolta's photographic business I switched to a Sony Alpha 700. I currently have a range of Minolta & Sony zoom lenses and prime lenses.

In addition to the Sony DSLR, I also use a Ricoh GX100 compact camera.

All images are shot in RAW. RAW files are currently processed in Adobe Camera RAW with further processing in Photoshop CS4. I have also recently acquired Photomatix Pro for HDR processing and a suite of Topaz Labs plug-in filters.

I am an active member of Holmfirth Camera Club and over the years have been a member of several other clubs in Lancashire and Yorkshire as I moved around the country with my work.
